| Its been a good, long TWO weeks since I last posted. Exams are drawing even closer, and I'm trying to find the motivation to stay ahead. Life can be a bitch at times, no? Lately, I realized that I've been bitching incessantly about the same 3 people in my course. First being, "The Bitch" (now, i wonder why? hahaha.) Second-- "The metro wannabe" and Last, but definitely not the least "The Insecure Pain in the Arse" Goddamnit.
But bitching is healthy. Totally helps release stress man. And my recent bitch-buddy and I can just sit through a whole lecture and bitch non-stop. Man, time flies when bitching. A 1 hour lecture can end in like what seemed to be 20 minutes. Awesome yeah? haha BITCH ON!

| Been wondering where I've disappeared to? Well, I have been away for the past week in rural Segamat, as part of my course. We're here for a one week (more like 5 days) attachment at a rural hospital setting to observe how health care is provided for the rural people, and at the same time also evaluate the access the rural community has to adequate and proper health care services.
Segamat is not as rural as it sounded when the lecturers first briefed us about it. Its actually a small town, a bit smaller than KK, I'd say. So yeah, "rural". They even put us up in a fairly decent hotel, with wireless internet access. How much better can our lives get? And its a new hotel too. What's more, we have the luxury of sharing a room with only one other person. So essentially, thats like 2 to a room. How is it even remotely (excuse the pun) possible, that I'd not survive my rural attachment? Man, here we're treated like kings. Ferried here and there in nice buses and vans with air conditioning and being fed to death by the locals. Too bad we just missed the durian season here, or our visit would have been complete! Dang! But oh well, there's always a next time yeah?
Last Sunday, I was to meet Amos and Samuel in Mid Valley. Amos called me Saturday night and made me promise I'd show up to meet him. Kinda weird, I thought to myself, considering the fact that he has not made any efforts to look me up the whole time I've been here. Sensing something weird, I couldn't help but feel that there was more than what met the eye. And sure enough, I was spot-on! Daniel called me on Sunday at about noon telling me that he'd meet me in Mid Valley. I was in utter disbelief. Well, in retrospect, it was not that dramatic-lah! So we met up at Mid Valley and did a bit of shopping. I got myself another long-sleeve tee and yet another pair of jeans, which means the number of jeans that I own right now stand at 7 pairs. 1 for each day. Good rationale huh? =P
I took heaps of pics and I'll post them all up later when I get back to KL. I'm meeting Daniel again over the weekend so I hope that'll be fun. Its always really cool to have friends from Sabah or elsewhere taking the trouble to come down and visit you once in a while. Shows how much you are appreciated and how much our friendship means to each other. I'm sounding all gay-ish right now but what the heck. Anyways, been reading a lot of Malaysia Today after the whole Raja Petra interrogation controversy. Really interesting political blog. I really do not know how he finds so much time and effort to put so much into his blog. According to my good friend, who's dad happens to be a close friend of Raja Petra's, he's a really nice guy and has a lot, a lot, a lot of political connections. So, don't mess with this tough guy yo! Even the police couldn't touch him man. Haha.
Later peepz.

| What a hectic week I've had!
Yet I managed to steal some time off and went shopping!!
Hehehe. CK was on sale, so I got this really different pair of jeans. Different coz I've never had a pair of jeans that wasn't denim. So yeah, I decided to go for a change. Got myself a brand new pair of non-denim jeans. And a colour I'd not have worn say 2 years ago. Coz it would look like high school pants, can? Haha.
Also, me and my housies have been spending quite a bit on San Francisco Coffee at uni to keep ourselves awake, especially in the morning. We decided we can save some money if we made our own coffee. But being the coffee people we are, we don't like the 3 in 1 instant coffee. Therefore, we hopped off to good-ol' Giant to get a coffee maker. Was so much fun picking one out. Then we headed to Starbucks to buy coffee beans. From the beginning, I saw one pack that really caught my attention. Coffee beans from Kenya! How exotic. Finally convinced my housies to try it with much persuasion and of course the help of the barrista there.
And... Wa-la! We have warm, brewed coffee for breakfast every morning. And I'd say its pretty good coffee too! Hehe. We are so pleased with ourselves. All our other housies are jealous of our coffee, (or so i think!). But imagine waking up to the sweet aroma of brewing coffee. Heaven!
Ok. pictures...
Looks bluish here. Sorry la. My phone camera can't seem to capture colours properly. 3MegaPix konon! hmmm. back view. next to my anatomy book. hehehe. mmm. <3 | | |
| Today's exams went great, NOT! I swear I'd open to a double-paged MCQ, and not know the answers to any of the MCQ's on that page. Heck, it was as bad as taking a shot at a toothpick fifty yards away with a golf ball and a golf club. Entering the exam hall this morning, I convinced myself that I'd be satisfied with 20%. By the time I walked out of that room, I was thinking what the heck, not even 10% dude. Oh well.
That aside, life in the new campus isn't new to me. But life in the new campus with hordes of people around is a completely alien-like feeling. Its so different from having the campus all to yourself. It still seems pretty surreal. Even the thought of going back to uni seems surreal, I'm pretty much still in holiday mood. =/
Went to catch Die Hard 4.0 tonight. It was pretty good, apart from the fact that the action scenes were pretty unrealistic. Like if I were to be in Bruce Willis' shoes, I'd have died in the 1st 10 seconds of the action scenes. Man, he survived the total destruction of an apartment, being shot at by a helicopter and in the process destroyed it with a flying car without being in the car; he lived through hanging from a cable in an elevator shaft after defeating the oh-so-hot Maggie Q. To top things off, he survived being attacked by a F35 fighter jet while being in a slow moving, easy targeted truck and totally annihilated the F35, all in a days work. Its so unreal, yet entertaining. After watching that movie, I felt like I was invincible. Haha. Live Free or Die Hard.
I think I'd better head off to bed now. Have classes at 8am. Damnit.
p/s I realised that nowadays I'm ending my blog entries with goodnight kisses. How lame and unoriginal. =/
